There’s a new basketball team in So. Cal., and I’m not talking about the Clippers. This team is even more exclusive.
The Harlem Globetrotters bring their entirely unique brand of basketball to Honda Center for two shows this Saturday, February 18. Come see the matinée at 1:00 p.m. or the evening show at 7 p.m., and find out how to get a Free Family 4-Pack below!
Also, don’t miss your chance to see reality royalty as “Big Easy” Lofton from The CBS series The Amazing Race will be joined by the TNT Maddox, the first female Globetrotter in nearly 20 years at the “Meet and Greet” this Friday at the Irvine Spectrum. Come get an autograph or get your picture taken with the stars on Friday, February 17, from 11:15 to 12:15 at the Edwards Courtyard located in front of the Edwards 21 Cineplex at the famed Irvine Spectrum.

Also, consider adding a Magic Pass to your order. For $15 more, you’ll have the opportunity for an exclusive behind the scenes tour 90-minutes before the show, including a free autograph when you meet the Harlem Globetrotter players and their “world”-famous mascot, Globie.
How do you win your 4-Pack to the matinée performance on Saturday? Easy, just leave a comment below letting us know your favorite baskeball memory. The winner will be drawn at random on Thursday, February 16 at 10:00 p.m. PT.

Game 1 in ’95 – Eastern Semifinals – Reggie Miller hits two 3-pointers in 5.4 seconds to tie the game at 105 with 13.3 seconds left. Not my fave player because of his trashtalking but his play was unbelievable. (Yes, Indiana won that game in OT)
The Globetrotters have been reminding kids and families for years to exercise, be focused, and have fun! You know most kids after watching them will go straight home and practice. What is better than exercising your mind and body and not even realizing your doing it. We should do more things like this
I am not a big fan of basketball but would LOVE to give the tickets to my husband who would be so happy to go!

I was very fortunate to grow up with a father who loved basketball. I remember my Dad taking my sister & I to see the Harlem Globtrotters as little girls. We were amazed by Metolark Lemon. We had so much fun. We went home and tried very hard to spin our basketball on our fingers. That night is one of the best memories of my father. We had a magical night.
I am now a Mommy of two boys who also love basketball. Wishing I could share a similar evening with my own boys.
I remember watching a HGT commercial back home and that was how I got to know about them. Would like to have my kids experience and watch their show.
My favorite basketball memory is last weekend, watching my son make a 3 point shot in his game. He has special needs, and was SO excited. The smile on his face was priceless.

I got to watch Jordan play live (once), with courtside seats at the peak of his career. It was great!
My favorite basketball memory (big fan and played through High School) was going to a Laker game as a young kid at the “Fab Forum” and walking down on the floor and seeing Kareem Abdul Jabbar in warm ups and thinking.. “wow, I didn’t know they lowered the baskets for warm-ups, he can dunk it without even jumping”.
OK one more.. I saw the Globertrotters as a kind at the LA Forum.. Meadowlark Lemon, Curly Neal.. the water bucket trick! ..my eight year old daughter would love it.. she asked me last week “Dad what are the Harlemglobetrotters” after seeing the ad for the Honda Pond games in OC Family .. I said kind like the Lakers but a lot more fun and funny! She’s been to basketball camp already and said back to me “they have a girl dad” I said no they don’t and she showed me the ad — and they do! Modern times and things change!
My favorite basketball moment was when my 5-year old daughter stole her first basketball in a game against 6-8 year olds. She and her younger brother love the game (I and daddy do too). I grew up only going to one Globetrotter game with Meadowlark and Curly. Our kids would absolutely love it!!
