Wondering how to make St. Patty’s special for your little leprechauns? Since the Irish holiday falls on a Saturday this year, I thought I’d share a few ideas to help you put a jig in your step without spending your pot of gold!

First, set the scene. One of my favorite things to do with little ones is to make the magic of the holiday’s come to life. Tell them about the special leprechaun’s that will be coming to your home on St. Patrick’s Day. Surely you can help your Irish friends leave a scene to create a St. Patty’s ambiance throughout your home. Check out how this darling mom and kindergarten teacher created mischief leprechaun magic at her home.
Second, use printables! Tomkat Studio’s is sharing some FREE printables on HGTV today with a few tried and true holiday design tips. Printables are the perfect last minute solution.Dig out that bin of ribbon you have in your cupboard. Click print on your desktop and with a few snips you will have some fun decor that is sure to set the Irish mood. Last year my husband and I celebrated the green day on a college budget using these printables. Even without kids – you can make the holiday fun! Check out my rainbow pancakes and tasty green food here.

Third, deliver goodies to friends. Unfortunately, the forecast for the springy holiday isn’t so bright. Here is the perfect rainy Saturday St. Patrick’s activity for your family. Make your own leprechaun mischief by creating a goody bag to anonymously drop off on the door step of friends and family. You can find instructions and download the free tags for these Pot of Gold treat bags here.

It’s St. Paddy’s Day – Paddy is short for Padraic, which is the Irish Version of Patrick – Patty is a feminine, and short for Patricia…
HI Jennifer! Thank you for the correction! I can’t believe we missed it. Will correct it on the slideshow (too late for the newsletter).
Have a great St. Paddy’s Day

Great ideas!
These are some adorable ideas. I am a lover of every single holiday and this year I was feeling out of ideas, I usually start with green milk for a fun take on cereal but with it being on the weekend this year there was more time to prepare and I was just fresh out of cute stuff. Because you shared this I wanted to share a fabulous carpet cleaning service I found out of Irvine, CA. They are thorough and do a fabulous job, after I had my family over we had green dye all over our carpet. So if ever you need remember love2mop its a simple easy name and a fabulous service!
