Heart-shaped Valentines Day Treats

Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays. How could you not love a holiday where the celebration is all about love, hearts, pink and red, chocolate….?

Today’s post is a celebration of that symbol, more specifically the heart shape. If you think about it, almost anything can be turned into a Valentines Day Treat with the use of one handy tool – the heart-shaped cookie cutter.

Here are five great suggestions on how to wield this shaped cookie cutter to send yummy thoughts of deliciousness from the savory to the sweet to someone special.

I would love to wake up to this yummy heartfelt breakfast idea from Reclaiming Provincial.  This Valentines Day Egg in a Basket looks simply delightful.

And for lunch, who can resist a heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwich to warm your heart. I love this melty, cheesy Valentines treat idea from My Recipes paired with a warm cup of soup of course.

But, a Valentines Day treat would not be complete without the the sweet. Am I right?

I am drooling over these Strawberry Fudge hearts from Cookies and Cups. Her 2-ingredient fudge recipe looks both delicious and easy to make!

And what is cuter than sweet treats on a stick?

These Heart-shaped S’more Pops look divine from Erin at In-between Laundry.

And love, love, love the play on words with these Sweetie Pie Pops from Our Best Bites, with free printable.

Hope these inspired you to get a little crafty and do a little cooking this Valentines Day. If you are planning on making any yummy treats to celebrate the day of love, simply get out your heart-shaped cookie cutter and get a little creative!

Happy crafting!
