My husband and I love to go to the movies, but it’s not so easy any more with our small brood of kids. So we were pleased to discover all of the ways Ultrastar Cinemas is thinking outside of the box to make movie-going more fun for families and couples. This is a theater that truly has something for everyone.

Ultrastar Cinemas is located in Anaheim, and they go above and beyond the typical movie experience. Probably my favorite feature is that every weekend morning, they offer a movie appropriate to small children for only $2.50. This allows families the chance to see a movie in an affordable and family-friendly environment. For the couples with a baby too young to enjoy a movie, Ultrastar offers a weekly movie for parents with babes-in-arms, completely with stroller parking and changing stations! Baby’s Night Out is a unique opportunity for new moms and dads to get out and see a movie that they want to see (not an animated or children’s film) without having to leave their baby at home or worry about their little one disturbing other guests.  And for the long-awaited date night without kids, their Star Class premium theater concept offers a lounge-type movie experience for the 21+ set. This upscale setting sets a new standard for theaters, serving specialty fare including paninis, hummus and desserts, wine and beer service, and a two-story LuxeLounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, plush seating, pool tables, and views of the Disneyland fireworks. And if you’re really feeling fancy, the theater offers live broadcasts of operas every month.
